My name is Ana Maria Mendez, originally from Huitán, Quetzaltenango. My orginal language is Mam. I am studying Economics at the University of San Carlos de Occidente.

I enjoy Economics because we are learning how to solve problems and organize social projects.

In the beginning I knew nothing about Economics, but today I have learned so much and am very happy that I have the opportunity to study in this area. We are learning everyday how Economics is part of our lifes.
